For many Filipinos, the Jollibee restaurant chain is synonymous with homegrown fast-food that is both delicious and comforting. Started in the Philippines, with the original restaurant opening in 1975, Jollibee now boasts over 1,000 franchises worldwide.
Recently Jollibee opened it’s first Manhattan restaurant, just a short walk from Times Square and the lights of Broadway. Feet in 2 Worlds podcast editor and former Fi2W journalism fellow Rosalind Tordesillas covered the opening for PRI’s The World.
We’ve been on the Jollibee story since 2012. Check our podcast First Comes Filipino Immigration then a Jollibee Restaurant.
